I’m not exactly a fan of the TSA, which even by feddie standards is… pretty bad. But even they, occasionally, through no nonexisting merit of their own, manage to do something… not quite so wrong. I’m morally certain it was an accident, which they’ll correct ASAP.
Peter Daniel Young, admitted terrorist and acknowledged (and still current!) supporter of a designated domestic terrorist organization, was convicted on terrorism charges in 2005. He “liberated” animals with the intent of destroying lawful businesses and jobs (with the attendant harm to families relying on those jobs), resulting in the deaths of thousands of animals. At his sentencing, he declared that he would, “forever mark those nights on your property as the most rewarding experience of my life.”.
Yep, he was proud of trying to economically destroy innocent lives and killing thousands of domesticated animals. (We had to destroy the animals to save them? Sounds familiar.) He still actively supports the ALF with a propaganda website.
And he thinks it’s terrible that someone in the government put him on the TSA’s terrorist watch list, despite the fact that this may mark the only case of the TSA actually doing what it allegedly was established to do.
Frankly, if I were a true believer in federal security theater, my first question would be, Why is this unrepentant criminal (real crimes against real people; not just politically correct profiling) – actively engaged in supporting a terrorist group – on the enhanced screening watch list instead of the no-fly list?
