20-odd years ago there was a rash of wrecks when drivers with ABS ran into things, expecting “the computer” would apply the brakes for them.
It might sound like urban legend now, but there were dozens of cases reported at the time, and I remember having to explain to people that they still had to push the pedal down all by themselves.
