President Constitutional Law Professor has a post at SCOTUSblog on what he’s looking for in a SCOTUS nominee.
A Responsibility I Take Seriously
A sterling record. A deep respect for the judiciary’s role. An understanding of the way the world really works. That’s what I’m considering as I fulfill my constitutional duty to appoint a judge to our highest court.
Notice anything missing from that list?
One thing stands out… Obummer wouldn’t know any of those qualities if they hit him over the head. As usual, he’s got no idea and he’s a liar.
He knows them. How else could he avoid them so assiduously and consistently?
Well, I grant that he knows OF them, but not in the way honest people know them. From experience and long practice…
My copy of the Constitution doesn’t grant the SCOTUS any more authority to interpret it than anybody else.
