Uh huh, right, Feinstein

If you have something credible, release it to the committee, instead of stirring up conspiracy theories.

Dianne Feinstein Withholding Brett Kavanaugh Document From Fellow Judiciary Committee Democrats
The specific content of the document, which is a letter from a California constituent, is unclear, but Feinstein’s refusal to share the letter has created tension on the committee, particularly after Feinstein largely took a back seat to her more junior colleagues last week, as they took over Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings with protests around access to documents.
Different sources provided different accounts of the contents of the letter, and some of the sources said they themselves had heard different versions, but the one consistent theme was that it describes an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman while they were in high school. Kept hidden, the letter is beginning to take on a life of its own.

So… An unseen letter from an anonymous person which might allege something hopefully scurrilous — the Democrats are keeping their finger crossed — from 35 years ago.

And if I claimed to have a letter from an anonymous person — which I won’t share with those with a need to know — that might contain information about an alleged suppressed police report from Feinstein’s school days, which people could speculate involves Feinstein being busted for trespassing in a closed vacation home, engaging in a gangbang, while in possession of opium and weed?

Would anyone grant that any credibility? Seriously, where would you find enough guys willing to do her — even back then — to stage a Feinstein gangbang?

But the scandalous less-than-rumor suggestion is good enough for Feinstein’s purposes, which is to keep everyone assuming the worst. And then, once McConnell has scheduled the confirmation vote, she can dump the letter in the morning just before, leaving Kavanaugh et al zero time to figure out what the hell the story is, who the… accuser(?) is, and try to defend himself.

And if I were to drop the hypothetical Feinstein letter on Beitbart and Faux Snooze the evening of November 5th?
